Case Study
For over 75 years, the Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology (SIOP) has been advancing workplace effectiveness and employee wellbeing through scientific research and practice. Despite this rich legacy, their digital presence created barriers to engagement across their diverse community of students, researchers, practitioners, and business leaders.
SIOP's previous website struggled with outdated information architecture and disorganized content that prevented members from finding critical resources like licensure information, white papers, and event details. The site lacked mobile responsiveness and accessibility features, while the inefficient backend limited their ability to deliver fresh content. This affected all stakeholders—students missed career development opportunities, educators couldn't access teaching resources, and practitioners struggled to find networking events and professional resources.
We collaborated with SIOP to create a digital platform that transforms their vast knowledge base into an intuitive, engaging resource hub. The redesigned site features a persona-driven navigation system with tailored journeys for students, academics, practitioners, and business leaders. We implemented seamless role-based access through SSO integration with Nimble AMS, supporting nine different member types with personalized content experiences. The dynamic content relationship system automatically surfaces relevant resources, while integrated microsites maintain specialized functionality within a visually consistent framework.
- Sophisticated SSO integration provides personalized content access for nine different member types, from students to retired professionals
- Dynamic suggested content system automatically surfaces related resources, encouraging deeper site engagement and discovery
- Integrated microsites for the Annual Conference, Leading Edge Consortium, and SIOP Foundation maintain their unique functionality while providing consistent user experience

The redesigned homepage creates distinct pathways for SIOP's diverse user personas, dramatically reducing navigation time to critical resources.
The Annual Conference hub—which saw an 88.64% increase in sessions post-launch—provides seamless event registration and access to materials.

Career Paths pages offer vital resources for students and early-career professionals, contributing to SIOP's #1 ranking in Google's AI-generated results for "industrial psychologist."
The reimagined SIOP website has transformed their digital presence from a static repository to a dynamic engagement platform. With 34,000 sessions from organic search in just 60 days post-launch and rankings above Harvard and Wikipedia for key industry terms, SIOP has strengthened both their member experience and industry leadership position as the premier organization advancing workplace psychology.
Despite facing leadership transitions, board changes, and launching an AMS alongside the CMS, Yoko Co remained exceptionally adaptable. The team promptly addressed questions and concerns, often responding same-day, and effectively guided us through the necessary steps. Their flexibility and commitment ensured a smooth progression despite complex hurdles.
